Will these fit my truck
Help-I am trying to put a new exhaust system on my 69 SB
I found these on E-Bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/67-72...1%7C240%3A1318 I now have rusty headers with rusty everything to the rear My truck was a 6 Cyl & 3 speed, now it is a 307 or 350 with automatic trans I want to go to ram horns and then go possibly with the complete 2 1/4" system from LMC but replace those turbo mufflers with flowmaster 40's and exit in the rear or out the side Questions 1. Will these work on my truck 2. Where do I buy the studs and bolts to mount them and what do I buy? 3. Can you buy just the down pipes from the manifolds and then connect muffers to them and then out the side? 4. Thes are "aftermarket" manifolds, anyone had any probblems with those? 5. These say 2", will they bolt up to a 2 1/4" exhaust Sorry for all the questions and thanks for any advise |

Re: Will these fit my truck
They should be the correct ones for the truck.
A good muffler shop can handle hooking up the 2-1/4 exhaust to those manifolds. From listening to my truck bark and beller with the exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheels for the last year I'd say run the pipes out behind the wheels and save a bit of your hearing. |

Re: Will these fit my truck
Just a suggestion: If you need all new exhaust, you can get a set of brand new headers through Summit for about $90 (less than the ram horns). They're great headers and not extremely noisy.
Also, I wouldn't bother ordering exhaust from LMC, especially if you want to change out the mufflers. Just go to a local shop and have them run it. It will be less hassle and probably right around the same money. Oh yeah, and I gained about 1 1/2 MPG by getting rid of my ram horns... Food for thought as gas is going through the roof again. Re: Will these fit my truck
you could probably go to a local junkyard and get a set of ramhorns for almost nothing.

Re: Will these fit my truck
I checked out the headers and it says they will not work with angle plug heads.
How can I tell if I have angle plug heads? They appear to come straight out (small plugs) Thanks for the help |
