Hello all!
Well I thought that I would finally poke my head out from the forum shadows and say hi.
I have been lurking around here for sometime now gathering useful info. Now thanks to a new job I'll have more time and money to work on my rig. As for now I can only get to work on it once or twice a month since its located at the inlaws. K10 86 Canadian made. 305 700r4 Don't know the gearing yet. Dealer added sunroof. No Leaks Ya! Found in the back of a barn and got it for cheep. Was a farm truck and it shows. There was no inner fenders when I got it rusted off. The engine bay was caked with mud and sand. However the 305 is still kicking so I'm going to keep it for now. The rust has taken over much of the truck but the cab. If you don't count the rockers or cab corners. Underneath the carpet and dash is very nice rare for here in Upstate NY. As you can see I have put on a better door and fenders. Original fenders were so badly rotted they would flex when you tried to close the hood. I'll need a new box the back end is rotted away. Nothing to even mount a tailgate. PO used a tailgate net. All new brake lines and hardware front and rear. Hopefully will be a DD for me once I get it on the road. It will be a challenge that I'm up for. |
