Cab suggestions

I purchased a 69 c10 where the middle to front part of the truck was a rust bucket but the bed and frame are in really good condition. I am already planning on buying new fenders inner/outer and a radiator core support. Gonna keep the hood because it's in great shape to. Now, what's the best thing to do about the cab? I'll need a whole new cab as it's rusted from the back wall all the way up to the top of the firewall and then some. How lucky can one get to find a cab/truck thats pretty solid? I see on the forums that some people are parting out their trucks but they all seem to live very far from me and shipping would be expensive. Is that just part of the game? What do you all do?

Re: Cab suggestions

Might be best to repair the floor, cab mounts, and rockers, if the rest of the cab looks good. Have a look at the roof, inner and outer, above the windshield.

You live in Nebraska so you are not too far from Kansas and Oklahoma. Should not have too much trouble finding one even though they are getting harder to find. I would just buy a donor truck and take off the cab. I know Ricks trucks in Ok had some clean cabs with little rust a while back. We go to Ok all the time for trucks

Re: Cab suggestions

Is there a website or any craigslist ads for Ricks trucks? Or is that some one you know through the boards?
