is there a way to completely shut off the blower motor? mine is always running! even with the switches off and in the cold zone. it sure does make the truck hotter. lol its like its on really low setting.

Re: blower motor
You could pull the fuse, or better yet, disconnect the lead wire going to the motor.

Re: blower motor
i know what you mean about the blower. I've been working in and around my dash the last few days, you're right, it runs every time the key is on. Thinking about a simple toggle switch, make sure it's a high amp switch, to turn it off. I don't want to pull the fuse, getting caught in the rain, no ac, i may need the defroster/blower.

Re: blower motor
another one was a few years ago, my buddy on his 76 put the wrong vauums lines in the holes so his heatercontrols would only blow heat.... we did not notice this until we were on the HWY in the summer with the windows stuck up......
it sucked.. id check and fix the problem before jury rigging it... jsut my two cents

Re: blower motor
This old blower motor thread might help.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ghlight=blower PilotJ had an easy fix. “I had the same issue with my '79 ex-ac equipped c-20. There is a plug on the heater box under the hood that has a light blue, dark blue, brown, and yellow wire running to it. I just yanked the yellow wire and that just did away with the low speed. I still have medium and high-speed blower, but no low speed. Works out fine for me.”

I was looking online because I was bored and I came across this! and it made me wonder if the relay could be broken?? or...? my truck does have "ac" but I took the belt off the pump because it didn't really work.
