master cyclinder seal???

Seems like you can find the cover for our trucks no problem. But when it comes to the seal- im having a hard time.

Anyone know what seal to use? im sure its the same for many years? I take it i can get it at a GM parts location. Jegs and Summit dont seem to carry them.

Re: master cyclinder seal???

Have you tried any of the local auto parts stores around you?

I know Auto Zone and O'Reilly's have websites you could check there.

Re: master cyclinder seal???

Are you looking for the seal that goes under the cap.Or for the seal to keep air from coming thru your firewall.Or the internal seals to rebuild it?

Re: master cyclinder seal???

Any restoration parts place (like Brother's) should carry that rubber seal that goes under the cap. Also, any local parts place should carry it. Rebuilt units would have a new seal included, too.

Re: master cyclinder seal???

i tried autozone, murrays, united They have a "help" isle that has various seals for different vehicles. But, not the one i need obviously.

Im going to try napa today.

Just funny cause you can find the caps no problem, but finding the seal is a pain in the butt. I know i can buy a new master cyclinder- but really, i just need a cap seal-lol!!
