Ebay: 1970 Custom C-10

Up on Ebay right now, is one sweet original 1970 Custom C-10. Here's the description:

1970 Custom C-10 has been pampered and garaged since new. If you are looking for an original unrestored example of one of Chevrolet's best production line of trucks, this is it. Starting with the exterior: NO RUST STRAIGHT The original two-tone green paint is in excelent condition. The trim is near perfect and all present. The grill has no damage with exception of minor fading of the black paint in the grill assembly. Chrome bumper up front is near perfect and also features the optional push bumbers. Glass is all original and perfect. Window molding shows minor weathering, but sold with the truck is a new in the GM box, complete factory replacement window moulding for both sides. Door weatherstrip is in good condition and I also have a factory replacement set for these. Bed is straight, tailgate works smoothly, and inside the bed there is some paint wear from use. All marker and turn lenses are original and like new, with lights working properly and bright. The interior: All door and window hardware is present and works like new. All guages work properly and are not faded. Lenses on guages are clear and not scratched or foggy. Inside trim is in great shape with all chrome and plastic looking like new. Dash is in good shape, and I have a factory replacement NIB for it also. Steering wheel has some cracking, but yes, I have a factory replacement for it. The motor is the original 350 big block. Transmission is the 350 Turbo Hydromatic, with optional transmission cooler in front of a posi-trak rear axle. Factory Air Conditioner blows cold air just like new. Power Brakes and Power Steering work like new.

This truck functions like it is still in 1970. Everything works like new, from the brakes to the AM radio. If you're looking for a daily driver to take you back to the '70's this is the one. If you are looking for an "original, unrestored" show vehicle, this is it.

A true survivor.... It will be interesting to see the price this one brings.

Thumbs up Re: Ebay:

we hunted deer up there back when that was new, about a 7 hour drive from me but looks like a nice truck. i'd really like to see it in person and i'd like to see how many extra holes it has drilled in it-c-b mic holder, side rails, fog lights. the side rails look like something from an old forest service truck and would definitly have to go bye bye, lol.
looks like a clean survivor and i'd like to own it if the cash flow would allow it.

Re: Ebay:

I like the 350 BIG BLOCK! Maybe that is why the price is so high. One of a kind.

Re: Ebay:

$13202.00 and didn't hit reserve. i would think they should have taken the money. it is a nice looking truck BUT not a real rare truck, option wise. if it was a CST, big block, bucket seats, speedwarning, etc. i could see the big price tag. don't get me wrong, i really like it but i think it's priced too high. just my opinion.

Re: Ebay:

Again...I agree this is "A true survivor...." which begs the question...Which is more desirable...A nicely optioned survivor"....or a fully optioned BB restored to factory specs (more or less)?

I thought 13K would have been enough to buy that truck. Then again...what do I know?

Also...I think I like 72BlckButy's truck better. JMHO

Re: Ebay:

70CST... thanks!

I wasn't to amazed when I noticed the truck didn't sell for $13k; I figured they were out for the almighty $. It is a truly nice survivor, but....

Re: Ebay:

If they think a 350 is a big block, they may also think that this truck is highly optioned. It's nice, but far from special.

I do like the green rubber floor mat. Don't find those in good shape too often.
