so, it doesnt fit...
I just got her painted a couple months ago. So, I am going through and cleaning her up. I have the original 15 inch spare and also have a set of a 90's aftermarket wheels. And i get the itch to find me so 6 luggers from the salvage yard and paint them white to match the two tone top. BUT, they hit my brakes! They are E.Classic drop spindes and MP brakes elsewhere.
Has anyone else ran into this problem. I would really like to go the steel wheel route but i dont know now. Thanks for the info. |

some 15" rims will hit. some say to grind the caliper to clearance. I say go with bigger rims.... Good luck

Re: so, it doesnt fit...
you need 6 lug wheels off a 4X4 or off a truck with Disk brakes. Your wheels aren't made to fit a disk brake set up... I highly doubt you could remove enough caliper material.

Re: so, it doesnt fit...
rally wheels from a mid 80's k5 blazer should work.

Re: so, it doesnt fit...
agree with the above. I have a set of rally wheels from an 80's Chevy, and they had no problem fitting my 69 SWB when I converted to disc brakes. I saw someone on EBAY the other day that was showing new 6 lug rally wheels for sale.
