What Year Model Lincoln for Rearend??
I was checking a noise on my truck this weekend, and my GM 12 bolt is junk. I remember there being a certain year/model Lincoln with a Ford 9-inch, and rear discs. Can anyone help me? I need to know what to look for so I can call around. Thanks.

You need to look for late 60s, early 70s Lincoln Continentials with read disc.
After you get it home, you will need to remove 3 sets of brackets, weld on new perches (if your truck is coil spring rear), new brakelines, make a custom track bar mount (unless you have a drop kit from Early Classic for example), and then redo the ebrake cable and you are done. This is assuming that you don't need to replace bearings, brake calipers, pads, or rotors on new rear end. I have done this to my 67 C10, 71 Blazer, and currently doing this for a 64 GMC short fleet truck. |

that would be nice, special rotors are needed to go back to 5on5 I think.

Thanks guys. I have some distant cousins that have an old continental laying around in there yard. I'll ask them if they want to clean their yard. I'll start there. If I could get one for almost nothing, then I can invest the extra cash on calipers and rotors. If I'm not mistaken I think even the old cadillacs are 5 on 5. Thanks again.
