Free truck
I am really not joking. I am leaving for a one year deployment and have no place for my truck. A guy was supposed to buy it for $300 and never showed up and keeps jerking me around.
It currently has no motor or tranny but I have the original 307 in the bed. All the parts are there and glass is good. Typical rust. I have a clean title and I will sign it over to any board member who can come get it. Please give me a call at 407-716-8725. You are really helping me out b/c I have to check out of Army housing and they won't let me until the truck is gone. Please bring your trailer and take this off my hands!! There are pics in my signature line. I really appreciate anyone who can help me out!! -Drew

Re: Free truck
MIGHT be able to get it but I need to know how much timeframe we have to work with.
Make sure you ride the GoKarts while you're in Bahrain. Definitely a good time! |

Re: Free truck
The guy that was "for sure" coming to get it was supposed to be here yesterday. I am checking out of housing tomorrow. I could leave the title with my buddy if I need to. How much time do you need?

Re: Free truck
Damn. I won't even be able to ask for help until tomorrow. Thought this might have been a few days out. I'm going to have to probably let it slide but I'll call around for favors in the meantime and give you a call anyway if it hasn't gone too long past tomorrow. Sorry I couldn't be of immediate help. I know how those last minute orders are...a pain!
...I always miss out. lol |

Re: Free truck
Roger that. Will do. And by all means if there are ANY other members here interested or available sooner than myself feel free to call. I've got this suspicion that this, for me, is going to be like the last four vehicles I've missed out on once I start calling in favors tomorrow.
Sucks big time not having a trailer. |

Re: Free truck
If I remember right Belvoir has a lemon lot. You could park it there and leave the title under the seat.

Re: Free truck
They do but the car has to be current on registration and tags and all that jazz. Good thought though. I guess I could always donate it to charity and let them sell it.

Re: Free truck
What about towing it to a storage unit and sticking the the title under the seat and giving the location the the one that come get it.
As far as trailers Uhaul rents them pretty cheap by the day. |

Re: Free truck
That would be cool but don't tell anyone where you put it then do it like a big Easter egg hunt. Whoever finds it gets it.

Post it on freecycle. The scavangers there will be fighting over it.

Re: Free truck
bump.
Someone needs to help this service member out. I don't care if you grab it and store it, fix it up, or crush it. There has to be someone local to the man with a trailer. |

Re: Free truck
I've called and left Drew a message. It's only about 30 miles from my Cousins house and he has a place to store it for me until I could get up there to tow it home.

Re: Free truck
It would be really nice if someone considered storing it for the guy until he could get back. He is an esteemed member of our military and he'll only be gone for a year. Look at the thread in his signature guys, this pickup really means something to him.
Is anyone in the area? Maybe we can pitch in and get him a storage space for a year? We should try to take care of our boys. /salute Dan

Re: Free truck
my wife wouldn't go for that..I have a few options for him if he still has it tomorrow...
1. Carlisle truck show this weekend and split the profits 2. Get it running and settle up when he gets back next year (im easy) 3. help find a place to store it...
