Re: engine swap Q's

I am almost done swaping a 67 283 for a 76 350, I did not like the tall water pump so i stayed with the short, and keep my alt. on the drivers side. Also the starter off the 283 was less than a month old, so kept it. Also the 350 had a 2 barrel, so i kept the 4 bar. manifold and carb. So far so good, but we will see if she runs in a few days.

just remember that the water pump and the acc brackets and the pullies all work as a system, keep them all together. You probably won't be ablr to mix and match between the two.

Re: engine swap Q's

i will be swapping out the 307 w/ rochester 2 barrel for a 406sbc w/ '84 750 Q-jet and HEI. gonna keep the stock ram horn manifolds and pulley system on my 72 burb. the 2 barrel is great for fuel economy and i like the stock look of the engine bay right now (petronix electronic ignition conversion under the stock cap) but that 406 will need more air and i will towing with my truck. will just have to keep my foot off the pedal when i don't need the power. future plans include a stainless magnaflow dual exhaust from lmc truck and maybe even a drop in mpi setup for best efficiency and power (and for adjusting to altitudes when towing on cross country trips).
