Ooops...Forgot Intro.
I'm sure I was supposed to do an intro before posting but I joined so long ago that I thought I had. I've got a 2005 GMC Sierra that was left to me. I'm mostly into older vehicles but this is my daily and needs some aesthetic attention before I can really feel comfortable about it. Mostly just wheels and and a tame suspension drop. I hope to learn all about it here.
Thanks. |

Re: Ooops...Forgot Intro.
Welcome, and we're not as anal as the Hamb about intro's, we are more interested in the trucks than who owns them!

Re: Ooops...Forgot Intro.
Wow, this is quite a welcome wagon. It's too bad my GMC isn't more interesting...it seems like only interesting (gulp) Fords find their way to me. Oh well. My plan for my '60 F100 is to stick in the tried and true 350/700R4 and drive the wheels off of it. The Y block that came out of it, and the one in my '55 Fairlane are my only experience with Fords, and they have a ton of design flaws...little hidden places to put bolts and adjusting mechanisms that SHOULD be simple to get to...oh well. I've always loved the AD trucks from the late 40s and early 50s and the style after that, too. I've also got a soft spot for the '73-87 style, as well. Oh well, for now I'll settle for a cool old GM powered Ford with a 9 inch.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
