Led tail light question

Heres a link to an e-bay auction for clear Tail Light Lenses w/ Red LED Lights:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

The guy says they have all the electronics built in so theres no "special wirring" or Fuses.

My question is, has anybody used these and how do you like them?

I saw them at Hot August Nights on a 72 C-10 and in Broad Daylight they were very easy to see. Mine I have use a Clear Lens with a Red Glass Bulb and its not very bright (about 32 CP).
I can get some 50 CP Bulbs, but they've been on Backorder since May.

And there about $32.00 for (2) Bulbs.

Re: Led tail light question

I had Justin form this forum build me some Led's. They work great. They are red. I am thinking of going with clear lenses too but haven't yet. His are all hand built and very good quality. I think there are 120 leds per light.

Re: Led tail light question

So the guy selling these, says there is a "Heavy Duty Flasher" that they sell in order for the "4 Ways to work".
Wants $18.00 for this Flasher.
Does anyone know if this is a "Special Flasher",
or is it just a "Heavy Duty Flasher"?

I'm just trying to be an informed purchaser, BEFORE I start throwing my Money away.

Re: Led tail light question

You need an "Electromechanical Flasher" the led's dont draw enough for the stock "thermalmechanical flashers" to work. The 44810 works good for me.

Re: Led tail light question

What exactly do you do with those Electromechanical Flashers? (obviously wire them somewhere/somehow)...

Re: Led tail light question

They just replace the old thermal flashers on the fuse block.

I don't mind doing that, (just Plug-n-Replace) my OLD Flasher,
but I don't want to get into trying to find a "Ground" for that 3rd Wire.
Suffice to say that the picture of the 1st Flasher (without the Wire), will work?

Also, they can be purchased at just about any Auto Parts Store correct...(and I bet you it doesn't cost $18.00 eaither)!
