my newest total score for 500$

thought i'd share this for the heck of it.

scored a 1978 chevy 4x4 longbed 3/4ton for 500$!!

it has a built sbc 350--edelbrock aluminum intake and carb, dual point distributor with accel supercoil,.030 bore with speed pro flat top pistons and rings, mickey thompson valve covers, headers running TRUE duals into cherry bombs

interior is pretty good for the year, unfortuanetly dont have a pic of that yet

i brought it hometook all accesore stuff off and did a 45$ black primer paint job,TOTALLY cleaned the engine, polished the grill ean dheadlight bevels etc and rims, degreased the engine and udnercarriage,.

and had an offer of 1500$ for it from a neighbor down the street

i dont understand why only 500$...i asked him about it,as im going to be getting my liscence VERY soon, and my 1967 chevy isnt close to done, and he told e 500$,i gave the minibike a workout bustin ass to get home and grab very dime i had, which was 501$ haha!

was it a good score?
me and my dad are debating on lifting it on 38's or so,but undecided.

oh not to mention it has barely any rust.floorboards and everything were totally beautiful.

the ONLY place on the truck it has rust/a tad of rot is a fender!
yes!

cab is 100% rust free

500 ain't bad. Would pay between that and a grand for it here
(yeah right, even people here are starting to come down with Barrett Jackson flu, some people go loony) but no matter the price, sweet score! Except, it's total junk! Yeah! Just ship that thing up to me, I'll take it off your hands- err, dispose of that pile properly... Good score! Much better than a 76 I bought for 200 bucks one time. Poor truck, beat to piss, rusted decent, beat to piss, broken shock mount, beat to piss, idk how it ran, oh, and brakes leaked all pressure in about 1-2 seconds. Almost took out the side of a building one of the whole two times I drove it. Only 73-87 I've ever owned, and I've always wanted one (for a big badd 40-44" bogger muddin 'chine)

LOL!
between me and my dad, though im 15,have had like 10 73-87's
none of them were nice though, all beaters from trade etc

i am in process of re-doing the interior on thsi truck right now,re-did the carpet floor and carpet on the panels with expensive short-but blue boat carpet, polished the stripping, did the plastic SHEDDING rotten door panels in vehicle trunk grey/white spatter paint, covered it all up thick too, same with the vents below and the dash.
costed me-10$ worth paint LOL
and a 40$ seat cover.
