check engine light/carb
so i got a couple of questions. #1...the previous owner of my 87 v10 took out the tbi and put in a carb(ive had it for about 3 weeks) all of the wiring is still there so i am assuming that is why the check engine light is on.... is there a trick to make the light go off in these trucks?
and #2... it has a edlebrock performer carb and when i gun it in a turn from a stop or try to hop a curb ect. it sputters pretty bad. almost to the point of cutting off. is this normal or does it just need to be tuned better? would a thunder series carb help this? im planing on building it up a little for offroading and if it has trouble hopping curbs something needs to be done haha thanks |

Re: check engine light/carb
cut A5 at ecm to turn check engine light out. what fuel pump are you running mechanical? Are you drawing fuel through the electric pump in the tank? I cant see why somone whould put a carb on a TBI truck?
