NP205 T-Case question
I have a late model SM465 transmission with the 32 spline output. I'm looking to put a NP205 on it but, need to make sure I'm buying the right one.
Which variant of the NP205 will work with this transmission?

Re: NP205 T-Case question
Do you have the adapter? There are two different input shaft lengths for the 32 spline input. I think the late model ones are the Long input shaft. I could be wrong, i had to change mine from the short input to the long input

Re: NP205 T-Case question
You will need the long input and adapter....Came out in 85, 86 at the least, that is what mine is.

Re: NP205 T-Case question
So any 205, a long 32 spline female adapter and the adapter and you will be good. Tall order. So i think a later model 4 speed 205 and adapter is what you need.

Re: NP205 T-Case question
It should be a round bolt pattern not the figure 8.

Re: NP205 T-Case question
Check out Advanced Adapters. They have pretty much every possible configuration avail. Their prices may seem expensive at first, but do some checking around and you'll probably find that they may be 50 to 80 bucks more far a new piece vs. a used one.

Re: NP205 T-Case question
Thanks for all of the help. I decided to go an easier route, I found a great deal on an earlier 465/205 combo so, I'll be selling my late model 465.
