Re: Finally complete 69 C-10
That's a really nice rear tank filler door. Best I have seen, looks factory. Does filler pipe "hump up" into the bed? What vehicle was the donor for the filler door? This is exactly what I want to do. Please share. Can we see some pics concerning this.

Re: Finally complete 69 C-10
Todd 327. I'm not near the truck now, it's my summer home. My friend had that filler cut out already for something else. I'll get the pics that I already have and I'll give the guy a call to see the specific vehicle it came off of if he even knows anymore. It does hump into the box panel and I'll show you pictures of that.

Re: Finally complete 69 C-10
Good job, truck looks great!
Now.................I'm really confused. B.C. plates on a guy from N.Y. truck. But, the truck's at the summer place and you're not near it now. So I'm figuring witness protection or secret agent? ![]() Todd327, the filler door looks to me like a '73-'87 style.

Re: Finally complete 69 C-10
Ha ha. I'm from BC, my wife is from NY and we both live oversees. I keep my truck in BC but I'm only there for six weeks a year in July and August.

Re: Finally complete 69 C-10
Here are the only two pictures I have. I'll get back about where the filler door came from. Also note that this tank is off an 80's blazer that filled on the passenger side. Most rear tanks I see fill on the drivers side.

Re: Finally complete 69 C-10
The door panels are from rod doors. The gas filler door is from an 80's blazer. It works well since that's the same tank that I have.

Re: Finally complete 69 C-10
Rod doors make ABS plastic panels that you must cover with fabric. The only thing I don't like about the 67-72 doors is that they have an armrest built in. I cut it off and put a piece of flat ABS in place. I used the 72 armrest instead. I covered them in vinyl and made inserts out of doors skin and covered them with tweed to match the seat. I haven't had much luck fastening the doors yet though.
Rod doors: http://www.roddoors.com As for the LED tail lights the cheapest place was classic parts: http://www.classicparts.com/Taillamps/products/284/5/0
