Re: Should I get rid of my truck?
Well...if you can afford the gas to drive it...as others have said...put in another engine and put it back on the road. You will get more looks in our trucks than most of the newer trucks. JMHO

Re: Should I get rid of my truck?
He doesn`t want a new vehicle, just something newer. To me newer means I can`t or don`t want to do my own repairs. They get $75 an hour around here.
People buy these trucks all the time needing motors from people who are fed up.They come on here all happy about the deal they got and all they had to do was overhaul or replace the motor.

Re: Should I get rid of my truck?
I'd keep it, if your income makes it at all possible. You will regret it later if you sell it.

Re: Should I get rid of my truck?
I say keep it. Speaking from experience. I sold a 68 Chevelle a few years ago that was a gem. Now its the biggest regret I have. I have the 69 C10 now and if I ever lose the time, money or drive, it will sit in the garage until I get it back. You'll sell it and wish you never did.

Re: Should I get rid of my truck?
You will prob regret selling it. Also, how much could you get for it? If it only needs a motor and maybe paint later, you will most likely be hard pressed to find another nice one in need such little work.
