I could'nt stand it I had to test drive it!!

Well after 1.5 years I have gotten to the point I had to drive it! I threw the fenders on and took it for a spin down the road! I feel the motivation once again to start hitting it a little harder...life gets in the way...Oh well the big block lives...I'll post some pictures but just remember "she ain't done yet"

Re: I could'nt stand it I had to test drive it!!

Glad you asked, I had researched the board for fit on BB Hedders and really did not find much that helped me, cutting frame rails etc. I went with Hedman 69820 - Elite Hedders. I have put on a few sets of hedders in my day and recall a lot of cussing and hours of headaches. I dropped out my stock exhaust manifolds and had these installed in 30-45 min. w/ help from my brother in law! They fit like a glove. I am very happy with them and the thickness of the flange...I would highly recomend these. I have all stock mounts.

Re: I could'nt stand it I had to test drive it!!

Could you post a picture of the headers but from the drivers side? Preferably through the wheel well? I'm interested in getting those headers you have but I want to make sure my bellcrank (zbar) doesn't rub against the #7 primary...... A pic would be much appreciated

Very nice - keep pushin', get it done - that should be enough motivation for now!

Re: I could'nt stand it I had to test drive it!!

Awesome! Looks like a nice truck.

I've had my truck for nearly 2 1/2 years and have NEVER driven it. I supposed to be getting it back from the painter this weekend and getting pretty pumped about working on it again and getting it on the road. I really haven't done much actual work on it since last December.

Well alright! Get it out there and make some noise and see how it feels. It surely will help get ya motivated again. Your truck is slightly farther along than mine but you know I have been having the same thoughts about pulling mine out and running it up and down the street a bit. I just gotta get some brakes on it first. No interior yet. I just have a small stool in it for a seat.
