fresh air speakers.

Has anyone put speakers in the fresh air vents. My are rusted around the edges, and I thought I might cut it out and put some speakers in there.

Re: fresh air speakers.

You would have to make sure to weld the area shut so they wouldn't get wet while washing the truck, rain storm,...

Several vendor's offer kick panel speaker pods. IIRC, Brother's offers a set.

Re: fresh air speakers.

Yes I plan on welding them up and stuff it with pillow foam. I have seen the kick panel speakers, but this just seems to be more out of the way and a lot cooler.

Here's what the last owner did to my truck, he used a torch on it to make the speakers fit. DUM DUM DUM

Re: fresh air speakers.

It is after all, your truck but getting rid of the vents to put speakers in seems excessive since there are better options like kick panels or in the doors. The vents are one of those neat features that these trucks have. I use mine all the time (no A/C) plus you can hang the air fresheners on the pull too.

Just my $0.02.
