Just wondering if somebody could give me the break down on what all I would have to do to put one of these in my 71? Also what all years for the blazer gas tank that is useable?

A 69 (first year for blazer?) - 72 blazer tank will work, or you can buy a new one. To put it in, u need to cut out a small spare tire crossmember, cut out the bed crossmember right above it. Drill about 4 holes to bolt it up. Make gas lines and figure out a way to put gas in it. Numerous ways to do either of those.

here are a couple pics of the blazer tank me and my dad installed, had to make some brackets and straps, the stuff we got didnt help much....the first pic is of the bracket/spacer for eachside, the straps they sent were too short and we had to flip them and bend the opposite way, the second pic is of the front to back straps we added just to make sure it was in there good

Blazer Gas Tank

Will the blazer tank work on a SWB?? I really need to clean up the cab of my truck.

Where did you get the tank, and how many gallons does it hold?

Thanks!

Upgrades--small block, tilt column, disc 5 lug conversion (front and rear),

Future Projects--suburban gas tank under the bed, rear roll pan, better gas mileage (currently about 6-10 MPG)
