VT, I found the answer after reading posts on here for about 4hrs. The flow rate seems to be 25-30 cu ft. I had tried 20 but it sounded like my 50cf tank would only last 5 minutes with that flow. Dialed it down to 5 and got the snap crackle pop syndrome I new was not correct. Also, apparently, using gas requires a hotter setting than with flux core.

What gas mix did you get? What wire?
The gas should make it burn hotter.
I think 25-30 cf/hr seems right.
