1987 Silverado Progress Update
Here is a couple of pics of before and after. Bought this last winter and used it for hauling dirt and gravel for my landscaping. Plan on giving it to my son when he turns 16. I got a 1 1/2 to go ....
New rad & hoses, full tuneup, Oil change, removed running boards and toobox, cleaned out the old box liner(sure was clean under there). Found a used Grill and headlight bezels(repainted and cleaned up the chrome). Painted the rad support satin black before I put the grill back together. New cruise lever, Replace just about every bulb, Found a bench bucket seat for it. Next is a full brake job, Re-charge A/C, Trans/Diff service, Rear sport bumper(looking for inner brackets) repaint the ralleys silver, I have an old set of E/T Slots for it(just need rubber) Rockers then finally a repaint. It has this weird vibration and from driving it, I think its the torque converter? I have heard there has been problems with these back in the day? Should make a nice little truck.
