Ground Straps

Anyone know or have pics of the original locations for ground straps on our trucks (66 specifically)?

Re: Ground Straps

The factory grounding strap locations are at the front frame horns to the inner fender, at the firewall to the back bolt of the valve cover and at the rear frame rails to the rear main cross sill. Replacement grounding straps can be found in the "HELP" section of most auto parts stores, however, they are not the correct length, but they work quite well.

Re: Ground Straps

Thanks for the pics and info, I added some homemade straps but would like to get some nice copper ones installed.

Re: Ground Straps

Im going to have to show you pictures of my ground straps, they look like they belong on a 200,000 volt transformer. I guess I am a firm believer that bigger is better. I was going to ask a question about these ground straps. Is there something that you can spray on them to keep them from corroding? Exspecially where they connect to the frame and chassy?
