I'm currently shopping for a Burb. Just found a 88 that has 71K and looks near new. What really has me sold on the burb is the other truck this man has. This gentleman also has a 71 camper special with a 402 thais oustanding for it's age. It's all original down to the hubcaps. He's owned it since 73 and it has 150k on it. I have given him the link for here and it is for sale for $5500 I think he said he was going to ask. It's a true southern truck and I did not notice any rust what so ever and it's still wearing original paint. After seeing this truck I knew the 88 I'm interested in was taken care of.
I think I will be buying his Burb and I'll try to bring my digital camera and post some pictures. I wish I could buy this 71 just to have because of how clean it is.

My Truck is still around Aside from all the rust, it's actually in good shape.

Ok I said I would post a picture of the survivor 71. Well here it is. The truck wears orrignal paint excpt for the passengerside front fender. the dots on the door are thread insers for a set of mirrors for trailering. couple dings here and ther but I didn't notice any rust on this truck. It's very clean. the interrior looks like its only a couple years old. 150k on the 402 in it.

Here is the 88 Suburban I did end up buying from the guy. It has 71k on it and the truck is near perfect. Even has the factory floor mats.
BtW that 71 is for sale...he's not trying hard to sell it because he will need it a few times in the next few week. He didn't want to sell the burb right now because he had to haul a few things and was planning on using it. LOL He was asking $5500 for the 71. if interested I'll contact him and make sure he's interested in selling it yet. He knows what that 71 is worth and he's going to stand by his price. Here is the 88.

Here is my 79 Blazer that I just took an offer on. Little rocker rot and some trail rash but it's bone stock except for the crate engine., Funny thing I found out. I put that tire rack on there. I got looking through some old sales stuff and that same rack was a dealer option in 79. It's made by Valley. The orginal racks made up through about 77 has the cast hinge mounts and it just may be that those were also made by Valley. Here is a link to the site with the sales stuff.

Mine is more of a "RE-vivor" than a survivor.
