Re: Accepting any and all crazy ideas
have you checked your fuel line all the way from the engine to the tank to see if it is rubbing or knocking on something.
BTW, did you beat the Impala SS????

From the sound of the Impala and the toothless dude behind the wheel, I'd say it had been rode hard and put up wet too many times. I smoked him bad. And then he tried to do a rolling start and got whooped again. |

Re: Accepting any and all crazy ideas
You said that the exhaust is new. That would be the first thing I checked. If you had it installed and you now have dual exhaust then they would have added brackets to the frame. if one of those is touching the cab underneath or sending vibration through the cab it could be resonating in the take and one of those lines.

It could be someone got your keys and unlocked your fuel cap and drop in a piece of metal. Not saying I did it, but it's a crazy idea.

Re: Accepting any and all crazy ideas
I'm still working on it. I pulled out the sending unit/pickup line and the sock was so brittle it crumbled in my hand. I'm gonna have to replace that and put it back in before I check out anything else. I'm having trouble finding a sock locally though. I might have to order one.
I didn't see anything in the tank either. It looks spotless and no debris in the bottom. |
