Re: Great CL Find!! (not mine)
I would not pay more than $1,500 for it in this market, assuming it has no rust. If rusty, part it out.

If that truck was $1500 i would send you the money to buy it for me. Fly out and drive it back.

I think it's probably worth it, although I'm not too partial to utility bodies. I love that part of the description about rare 10 ft bed. You can easily tell from the pictures that it's no 10 feet!

Rusty Not much lemonade made in the southwest U.S. huh? Your rust buckets are nice builders in the other 98% of the world. Eventually all the NOS or cherry used original sheetmetal will be used up and you guys will be singing a different tune. (Then again I've been raised with the depression era mentality. Waste not, want not.) Until then, THANKS for all the "cherry used original sheetmetal" parted from those "rust buckets"! |

Re: Great CL Find!! (not mine)
I talked to the guy yesterday. I am going to look at it since it is about 40 miles from me. Pretty much a given that there is no rust on this truck since it is a southern California original. One thing I did notice by the pics is the fact it has a '67 3-hole instrument cluster ?? or was that what they put in the 30-series..I don't think so. So, it is evident that the PO has done some tinkering. I'm gonna lo-ball him though since I am cheap (and currently unemployed) so we'll see what happens.
