rear axle options for c20 coil

I have my grandfathers 70 C20 manual truck and would like to change the rear end or gears as I have the 4.56 gears and it just screams going 70 down the highway.I would like make it more of a daily driver.I think i remember someone saying I could get an older dana 60 from a 3/4 ton dodge is that right? If I only went down to 410 would that be enough of a difference or do I need to get it down around 373, 350 small block motor.Has anyone had the ring and pinion changed and is that a cheaper way to go?It would be nice to actually use first gear and feel more comfortable going on longer trips.Thanx KD

A 4.10 swap would a great move, but a dana out of a big block 68 - 72 would be a 3.54 and be a huge impovement.

Re: rear axle options for c20 coil

I put a 1986 3/4 3.23 in my 69 c20 and it really makes a difference. I bought brackets and a new panhard bar from cpp and had a shop weld it up. I searched for gears and found they do not exsist and the bearing and seals are hard to come by....thats for the stock 3/4 69 drop out rearend...
