Drop height questions

I've searched but haven't found a definitive answer.

What is the most I can drop the front by using just drop spindles and shorter springs? Im not interested in bagging.

What is the most I can drop the rear using shorter springs and blocks only? What height spring and what size block should I use? Not interested in notching the frame or using bags.

...HOWDY FROM SOUTHERN OREGON! after everything setteled down I found a 4/4 drop with springs & spindles works just fine....

you can go lower; I have seen drop spindles in both 2" and 2.5" sizes, and front springs that drop 1", 2" and even 3" 's. For the rear, I have found the 1- 5" drop springs... maybe more, I can't remember. Obviously, the guys here know more about it, since I have only priced it out and been studying it.

LMC has the 2.5" spindles, and springs 1" & 2" front, with 3, 4, & 5" drop for the read. They recommend a notch kit for anything over 5", and with 4" and over, a set of their shorter shocks.

This is an example of the types of availability. LMC, Brothers, Chevy Duty, Harmons, etc. all sell these things, I believe (my memory of my parts catalogs list.)

63 whoopie is right on the money. Im at 5.5/7 and its about as low as you can go. The ride is good but if im going to fast and hit a bump i rub up front, and getting out of driveways i think i scrape my crossmember. Mines notched too.

I would agree that 5.5 and 7 is about as low as you can go... Mine is 4.5" front and 6" rear. front is 2.5" spindles and 2" springs, Rear is 5" springs and 1" block (this way I still have some spring travel. Rear is not c-notched.

Early Classic Enterprise's has great parts and service. I made the mistake of going through CPP. My buddy went through Early classic Enterprises and his stuff was of a much high quality for about the same price. CPP's rotors and calipers and bearings are junk. For the most part everything else was ok.

I've done 3 inch spindles and 3 inch springs in the front for a 6 inch total. It's very low and required a good bit of attention to not hitting the front crossmember on things.

In the back, a 6 inch spring is no problem.

If you lower the wheel opening in the front it will look like a massive drop.

SO, Not to high jack but its on topic. If you wanna be low and you plan on buying springs and spindles later but you are say......ummmmmmm....whats the word.....ohya Impatient...What are your thoughts on heating up the spring how bad does this turn out.

Obviously ghetto and redneck...But would it suffice for the Low needs of a broke person?
