kickdown switch placement.
O.K., I'm wondering if someone can help me with this. I know this isn't where the kickdown switch is supposed to be; the throttle will never catch it there, even at WOT. Does someone have a picture of how this is suppose to be set up? It's on a '70 big block, I'm guessing original carb.

Re: kickdown switch placement.
I just looked up the codes - 7042208 OC. It's off a '72 Chevy with an automatic, and the truck's a '70, so it's not the original carb, but fairly close.

Here is a picture of an installation on a big block.

Re: kickdown switch placement.
Thanks, JIm - looks like there's a little bit of fab going on - I'll have to figure out how to get it back to where it's suppose to be.

Re: kickdown switch placement.
I have a similar question.
I have a 70 with a BB but it has a Holley carb. The original kick down switch is missing but the wiring to the trans is still there. Any suggestions on something I could use for a kick down switch? Thanks, Dusty
