Summit fuel cells. I know it's been covered a million times, but I never came across a part number that everyone was using. I'm thinking it would be a good idear to order one that'll fit and seeing as how so many have gone this route maybe someone could chime in? My main priority/project is getting the tank moved soon.

I just put the 16gal under my bed. Get the one with the foam and sensor or you'll regret it....

Yep, they fit pretty good too. Just a little trimming on the right rear crossrail.

You will have to "fill up" through the bed floor, but trap doors are easy to find.

So did you guys run -8 all the way up, I'm thinking that's awfully big and -6 is probably more then enough plus it seems to be much more common. Anyone running from the cell to a hard line?

Oh, and did you just cap off the return line if it wasn't needed?

yep cap the one. I got the fitting that goes to 3/8 hose and then to steel 3/8 line to the pump.

And you can mount the tank either way. There is plenty of fuel in the bowls to compensate for "take off"

Any straps going on top? That thing will be pinched between the bed crossmember and the lower straps but a little more security/peace of mind might be good.

Yep, straps are going across the top. I will be able to bolt from the top or the bottom of the crossmember.

I think I've got a plan. -8 90* fitting out of the cell to a -6 reducer to a <3' piece of braided AN hose then to a 3/8" barb and rubber fuel hose. The main reason I want to use the braided line is for looks, plus I figured it would be more resistant to anything getting kicked up. I'll put a filter in the 3/8" rubber hose before going to 3/8" tubing and run that all the way up with another small piece of rubber hose going to the pump.

Thanks for all the help, I'll be sure to post up my progress once I get goin on it here in a couple months.

if youre using a mechanical pump you`ll want to mount the filter after the pump not before, when the filter before the pump gets clogged the pump works harder to get fuel prematurely wearing out the pump, and possably collapsing your rubber lines

I've heard that before, problem is, I have a braided AN hose running from the pump to the carb. No where else to really put the filter. Right now it's sitting dang near on the pump with a nice little loop in the hose.

yes, they are crooked from the factory. so that area needs to be trimmed to fit the cell...
