Re: Subwoofer Box for under bench seat

As long as you know your information, you can start w/a box that fits & reverse calculate to determine what would be an ideal sub or you can have the sub & calculate what's required for the box. Both methods will work.

Re: Subwoofer Box for under bench seat
I see what you're saying. I guess I would just use a little bit of planning beforehand though. This is irrelevent to his situation.

Re: Subwoofer Box for under bench seat
Well, lets get down to the nuts and bolts of it then.....
I listen to Johnny Cash and Molly Hatchett (hey, it matters... ever heard a car with 4 twelves bump Johnny Cash??? It sounds like a polka!), I'm not trying to spend a butt load of money, and I don't wanna raise my seat. The truck has a pair of 3.5's in the dash with hi-pass filters and a set of 6.5's in the kick panels. I want a single 10" sub, my Kenwood deck has one set of pre-outs left, and I'll probably end up with an MTX amp. I'm open to suggestions, as long as the box goes under the passenger seat....... So who's got the million dollar idea for a combo here?! |

Re: Subwoofer Box for under bench seat
I actually put a pioneer shallow mount 10" under my passenger bucket seat. I dont remember the exact measurements but i doubt they are useful now. Slides in and out with a little force, but it fits good and hits great. Have it powered by a orion cobalt 300watt rms amp. And just have a aftermarket speaker (5x7 i think) in the stock location and it works for me. There isnt that much mids but you wouldnt even know i had a system by looking. Got my deck in my glove box and a radio delete plate on. Im really impressed with it, and like it a lot. I know im bringing up an old post but somday someone might find this useful, and wanna know more.
