Re: Wtb 69 70 bucket seats

These are Blazer seats the driver was completely re done. The passenger only needed minor foam work. The hardware was media blasted and powder coated. I bought them but never installed them. Looking for 1,000

Thanks John

Re: Wtb 69 70 bucket seats

how to I tell the difference between 69/70 Buckets and 71/72 Buckets. I have 2 sets and am not sure what years they are out of. Im pretty sure both sets are correct for 69/72

In the picture the seat on the left is a 69-70 the one on the right is a 71-72. The frames are the same but the foam is rounder on the 69-70 and squarer on the 71-72. Hope this helps.

Thanks, chris

Re: Wtb 69 70 bucket seats

Chris,
Thanks for getting back to me. Heres another ??? I removed a nice set of factory buckets from a 72 K5 4x4 thats been stitting indoors for some time. But when I tried to bolt them into my 70 K5 2wd. The seat mounts to the floor didnt line up and when I just used 2 bolts to bolt it in the 72 seats, they sat rather high. Any info on mounting holes being off and why seat sits high. Ive studied a few pictures of mounting brackets and they seem to look correct.
Thanks Again

Re: Wtb 69 70 bucket seats

anythingonwheelz, it was probably due to your blazer coming from the factory with utility bucket seats and not the deluxe bucket seats. Trevor

Well stated, many 2wd blazers came with the utility buckets and no rear seat for hauling. My 69 4x4 blazer actually has mounting holes for both from the factory not sure why but, they are there. Are the holes to far apart from front to back, if so thats the problem the utility buckets use truck bench tracks for the driver seat which are longer than the bucket seat tracks. hope this helps if not take a picture and let me see whats going on.

thanks, chris
