Quicker ratio with less moving parts. No idler arm, pitman arm or inner tie rods.
Side effect is they wear out and are much more expensive to replace than the front end parts they replaced. I have replaced quite a few over the years. Unless you want the cool factor of having something different you are better off getting a quick ratio gear box for your existing system and putting on high quality front end parts to go with it.
