3.42 and 3.73
After I take off the rearend cover, how can I find is 3.73 or 3.42?

spin the ring gear until you find the stamp. it will look like this 40:13 it probably wont be those exact numbers. but the bigger number is the ring gear count the smaller the pinion. just divide the ring by the pinion and you have the ratio. you can also count the teeth on the gears and divide the numbers

Count the teeth on the pinion/ring gears and divide.
Example: a pinion gear with 10 teeth and a ring gear with 41 teeth = 4.10 |

Look on the ring gear and see if there are numbers stamped in it. This should tell you although you will have to decode it.
If there are no numbers stamped count your teeth on the ring gear then the pinion gear and divide.
