3rd brake light
where would I need to wire a 3rd brake light to? I know it cant be the tail light wires or it would blink with the signals. I am thinking I need to come off of the brake light switch.

I make Custom LED Third brake insert with in a brushed aluminum channel. Any # of LEDs or lengths. Also the Cargo third brake insert that will be in production shortly.
Yes you need to ground the third brake to body/chassis, then run a power wire directly off the brake pedal switch.

If you jumper it off the regular tail light it will flash with turn signal also.

What would be cool is to have half of it blink with the turn signal also. Don't know if that would be legal though.

Yeah it's legal. I can make one like that. I was thinking more on the lines of having the last 6 LEDs to the right and left be amber. and the center section just red, with parking/brake function.
