Got some new steelies..
Inspired by tcb-1 I set off to find some cheap steelies. I didn't find any kickass 18"s like he did but I kind of like these 15x8's I found on craigslist. Just cheap circle track wheels. They were on a race car before I got them so they've got some wear.. we'll call it character and hope they balance out ok. If not, they're like $47/ea. new. Got them for $85 on craigslist. Drilled some holes for the caps and here we are. Eventually the truck will be satin black and these will get a coat of appliance paint almond. I might paint these caps black when I paint the truck. We'll have to see how it looks.

Re: Got some new steelies..
Cool wheels and very unique in a suttle way.The lack of rivets puts them in another class.

Re: Got some new steelies..
Thanks fellas, especially Doug for the inspiration.
I like how they look with the centers. Doug, if you read this again keep an eye out for some 15" tires. You scored finding yours on CL.. I've been looking.

Is it me, or does your pic show that the lip is all buggered up? If they are, then you will play hell gettin them to balance out well.

Re: Got some new steelies..
Yeah, they're beat up pretty good. If they balance that's great, if not like I said they're like $47 new. That is the worst one out of the 4.

Re: Got some new steelies..
I have to find some first, since my current tires are 75's.. a little too much sidewall for me. They will probably sit for awhile without tires. Getting my motor back together is more of a priority right now.
