I usually deal with the 67-72 stuff but I saw a add for a chevy bed called it and found out it was a short fleetside for a 78. My ? is what are these thing worth, this is in good shape, pretty much dent free, had a tonneau cover on it. Its about 50 miles away from me, just wondering if its worth the drive? Thanks.

Hard to say w/o a pic, but for a bed in very good condition w/taigate $500 would be about right. If the bed has small dents or slight rust then $250-400 would be a fair price. Even though these prices might seem high, you should see what GM wants for the individual pieces!

I paid $250 for a used bed with minor rust and no dents. Good tailgate too. Just no second gas tank filler door.
