LS Engine guys
What are you all using to mount the AC compressor? I have a sanden compressor from Old Air Products.

Re: LS Engine guys
I just used all the factory stuff (factory compressor). Mine is the truck accessories, it is a tight fit between the frame rails. I have to install it after the engine is in.

Re: LS Engine guys
I hear, but don't really know, that you will have to notch the frame rather big, this is what I want to avoid. There is an aftermarket bracket that will work, but it is like $200.00+, which again, I want to avoid forking over a bunch.

Re: LS Engine guys
I'm using an F-body compressor on a corvette bracket. I notched the frame just a little for line clearance. I haven't gotten it hooked up yet. I'll probably end up with a custom block on the back of the compressor.

Re: LS Engine guys
I have a 5.3L in my 72 Tahoe and with a DropMember the motor is raised up 2" and my stock set up fits great! No notching and the comp is on the motor when dropped in place.
