Re: rochester monojet

Well, being bored I went to napaonline.com, entered 67 Chevy C10, selected 292 and searched for carb. It came back with 2 Holly carbs, and kits for Holley, Carter and Rochester.

Holley and Rochester are 2 different makes of carb, so I'd guess you have a Holley or Rochester, and I seem to recall that monojet is a Rochester name.

Rebuilding a one barrel carb isn't too tough so I'd go that route first.

Re: rochester monojet

Is there a number stamped on the side of the float bowl near the fuel line? It should be a 7 digit number begining with 70. I've gotten them from NAPA before just by giving them the carb number.
or, maybe give these guys a call

Re: rochester monojet

I looked around for a carb a while back when I had stripped threads in the fuel inlet. They are getting hard to come by.I couldn't find one .Many had them listed but no one actually had one.I found a kit and a fuel inlet fitting. The kit came from Advanc and the fuel fitting was on the wall at the local "Speed Shop".Turned out the fuel fitting was the part that caused my leak.

Re: rochester monojet

Did you mean "remanufactured by Holly Rochester carb?" The last one I got was also Holly remanufactured. If you have a pic, I can look through my old books and try to find out which one you have.

Re: rochester monojet

First off, 67 didn't come with a Monojet. It originally had a model B. If it is a mono. the # should be on it vertically like Streak says. If it is a B they originaly had a brass tag on one of the air horn screws but they areusually long gone. The model B kit can be ordered from application since there is very little variations in them.

Re: rochester monojet

Beat me to it. My '67 l6 250 came with a model B.

The engine now in it is from a 70, I think, and has a the monojet.
