69 chevy straight 6 questions

iv got a 69 chevy with the original inline 6 in to but i want to change it over to my built 350, the truck sat in a field for over 5 years and i brought it home did some wireing and a small tune up and the motor starts right up and idles great im just wondering what the motor is worth again its a inline 6 that looks to be all original

You're SURE you want to swap it out? If it's a 292 like in this picture of a '68 truck, it can be made to look outstanding AND it can be a torquey engine.

Personally, if I had one I'd detail it out like this and LOVE it. YMMV.

tru that engine looks relly nice but iv got over 5 grand in my 350 and although thats not a ton of money into an engine i love the way it runs and the power and torque it makes lol to tell the truth iv never really delt with a inline 6 iv always had 350s or 454s so i dont know much about the 6 at all

powder coating is the way to go tho that engin does look really nice

Im up against the same thing I just bought my 67 C-10 last week. It has been sitting for 20 yrs filed the points hooked up a gas can and it purrs like a kitten. I have a 97 LT-1 out of a police car 4l60 and computer but I kinda like the l6 and parts are pretty inexpensive. But if I sell the l6 and 3 speed it buys my drop spindle disk set up. To sell or not to sell that is the question

good luck getting rid of it. We have offered to give them away here and never had any takers. People say they want it but never come and get it, complete running ones with trans. You could get $200 to $300 if someone needed a motor right now. We just throw them away now.

I was asking $100 FOR THE 69 250 i HAVE AND i STILL HAVE IT . Good luck geting rid of it .
