OHIO - PA - travel construction???

Am heading out from KY to York Pa on Tuesday to be at Carlisle on Thursday.
Can anyone give me an update on construction along I71 in Ohio, then east thru WV to the PA Turnpike~~~~~~~. I can take this "northern route" or just go due east via I64 thru KY, then north east in WV then thru Maryland etc.
The northern route is a bit faster but will go the southern route if Ohio and Pa is all construction delays~~~Tks~~~Huck.

There is some construction from about old exit #8 to #10 on the PA turnpike but it is not really all that bad it drops you down to a 50 MPH speed limit that if you keep up with the flow of traffic will be about 60 to 65 MPH. Just remember it is now PA law that you have your headlights on when going through any construction zone! They will not pull you over for just the head lights but they will tack it ontop of any other violation and given the choice between two cars exceeding the speed limit by the same amount the one without headlights on is going to be the target! (1 cop car can only pull over one car at a time in PA.)

Another new law in Pa...Speeding in construction zone=15day licence suspension if pleading guilty or found guilty of speeding.

PA cops are @$$holes. Even more so than here in Ohio. So watch out.

Thanks guys--especially the legal updates. I usually run very legal at night as I don't like deer hood orniments. construction zones can be a pain in the butt as in some cases they extend for 20-30 miles with just those stupid cones in the road.
Use to like to hit them to see them fly---but that was a while back---a looooong while back.
Will probably take the northern route. Will be running a bright red Jeep grand Cherokee---be leaving @ 4:00am. Have too much old toy train stuff to sell at York to stick in the back of an open air pickup. Hopefully I can sell enough of my train collection on Tues/Wed to fund truck junk buying on Thursday----ROAD TRIP---yabadabadoooooooo!!!!

Huck, if you come on I-70 through Wheeling stop and I'll buy you breakfast always good to meet a board member. If my brother is home I'll bring him, he is a big time train collector, toy and real paraphanalia, he may take some stuff off your hands. My dad used to work for B&O,B&O C&O, Chessie systems and finally CSX. Phone is 304-242-3284
