How is the sound quality? I'm half deaf anyway but do want something relatively good in the range I can hear. Did you get it with the remote CD too? Thanks Patrick

Unless you’re an audiophile it should be plenty good for your use.
I think the volume and sound quality is very good. I bought an amplifier before actually listing to the unit and then found I didn’t need one. It drives 4 speakers very nicely. I did not get a cd changer because I'm using a XM receiver that also plays mp3's. So between the XM content and recording mp3 tunes I don’t need a CD player. The unit fit in the dash very nicely only needing a little adjustment, as shipped. Like everything else, it’s a matter of individual taste and needs when it comes to audio decisions for these old trucks. Note: there customer service was great when I contacted them about some questions and concerns I had.

Thanks, sounds like it will work for me. I looked at their site again last night and noticed that the cd changer is now history, everyone is using Ipods. good news on the power, I was going to get an amp too but think I will just get the radio and see if it works, I have plenty of time to add goodies down the line. Re: Vintage Auto Radio on Ebay, anyone have one?
Haven't got there yet. Probably something like 4-5" in the kick panels (they are already cut from previous speakers) and 6x9s in the cab corners. I want to keep the area behind the seat clear. I am not a stereo guru at all, in the past I just had $39 Schucks cassette decks with cheap speakers so that if someone broke into the truck in the woods I wouldn't be out a big dollar stero. I do not envision leaving it for days at trail heads anymore, I blew out my knee for the final time a couple of years ago so long hikes and 3-4 day hunting trips into the wilderness are a thing of the past. I'm setting the truck up for towing, when the economy turns around I want to get an ATV so I can hunt off of that.
