Trim question, need opinions.

I just got new upper and lower trim for my 68 gmc swb. It did not have trim to begin with. The bottom is going to be asy, but the top- say if you layed something flat on the top of the bed (on the flat surface) and measured down to the top of the trim... how far is it? I want to get the measurement right. And how many holes are in the short bed, big plus if someone can tell me what size the holes are to!!!!
