I need help with filler neck location
I'm installing a fleetside bed on my truck and I'm adding a new tank under the bed.
I don't want to cut a hole in the metal floor and I'm looking for ideas. So far I favor the behind the tail lamp idea. I need pics of the tail light mounting to get a good idea of how I will access the filler cap. Thanks for the help.

Check out the paint&body board.Do a search on fuel filler, there is a post that shows the filler behind taillight.

I put mine comming out of the inner fender well (inside bed). That way it is off the bed floor so I can haul things, and doesn't mess up the outer body panels.

I ran mine to the outside of the bed and used a Honda sportbike cap. You can see pics @ http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/cruzn72@p....src=ph&.view=

Thanks for the good ideas. I think I'm going behind the park lamp. Anymore ideas?

The flip down taillight will be a fairly time consuming process. I am in the middle of this mod right now. Looking at using a gas door hing from a 99 Windstar. I will let you know how it works out.

I believe putting the filler behind licence plate would be to low.

It must be a Kansas thing (as the Kid did) as I did mine centered on the driver's side wheel tub inside the bed also. Fills great with no back flow at all and out of the way for hauling things. PM me if interested in this set up and I will tell you what items I used, how to route, and so forth. Lots of other ways I'm sure but this was easy and quick requiring no welding since I don't have ready access to such.
