17x 8's fit our trucks.
I have a nice set of 17x8 Torq thrust knock-offs here i am thinking about for the 75. they have a 4.5" backset. with the 1" thick adapter i will need to make them work that makes it 5.5" backset. With the coil spring only lowering in the front I am sure they will not hit the A-arms and I also want to do only the Shackle drop in the back. I want facts/opinions or ideas. I want full sidewall tires not rubber bands so what do you recommend for tire sizes. Front & rear. thanx, crossy

with the the spacer the back spacing will be 3.5 and for tire a 275/50

I would be concerned with them hitting the fender when you go over bumps if you use the spacer.

Re: 17x 8's fit our trucks.
You won't need a front spacer...4.5" BS is factory, and because they are 17" wheels...they won't hit/rub anyhow.
I would run the spacer in the rear however, as the rear track with is about 1.5" narrower per side...3" overall./ It'll push out the wheels and make things look sooo much better. EDIT: You said adaptor...is the bolt pattern NOT 5 on 5 for the wheels or something?

I agree with Jeff. I don't think you would need spacer for the front. Just like he said to make the rear look better.
I think the route you are taking will look sweet on the truck. Something a little more modern, but not too much. Can't wait to see them on there. |

Re: 17x 8's fit our trucks.
yeah, thanx for he math correction factor.duh. lol
the ADAPTER is for the bolt pattern difference not just a spacer. If i dont like the look i may just buy the right bolt pattern for the front in only 7's (if avail) to keep them in.

Re: 17x 8's fit our trucks.
found out they make 17x7 in 5on5 pattern but only make 16x8's in 5 on5. so if I buy TWO new ones ??? Ill decide when i compare tire sizes most likely. i know they make EVERY imaginable size in 16" for not much $. 17's get pricey quick. thanx , crossy
