I'd toss soem sand, bags or otherwise, in the bed even with the tools and the bumper. it comes in handy having something to put down for traction if you need it. I've gotten myself unstuck before with nothing more than a couple shovel fulls of the stuff.

Well after a couple storms I have done pretty good. I can't wait to get rear steering though. I have also learned do the most you can without turning your truck around.
