Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
Selling my latest gauge restoration project. This one came from a low mile ’68 C-20. I’m giving “dennis3d” until Wednesday, December 16 to respond to this thread since he asked about it first. I will sell to the next in line if no response by then.
Would love to keep this one, but I need air ride equipment, so…… -All original AC gauges -All very clean gauge faces -60 psi oil gauge -The needles spray painted with proper "orange glow" paint as original -The speedometer is out of a low mileage truck (you can reset to 0 or your mileage) -Includes rare speed warning buzzer -Includes harness is new from Classic Interprises, made in US -Printed circuit is perfect and original -Tins have been restored in the proper original paint schemes. -The 69-72 (7) hole bezel is new reproduction -Lens is new reproduction -NOS speed warning reset knob -Original reset cable is perfect. -Speed warning mechanism itself turns smoothly -All new Sylvania ultra long life gauge bulbs -Tested- Plug and play…….. Here’s the thread on the restoration write up: http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...=speed+warning Here’s the thread on the speed warning function: http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...=speed+warning A rare, rare optional piece that’s in beautiful condition. No disappointments. Period. If you need any further pics, please pm me. updated price of $475 shipped to your door (48 lower contiguous) with insurance and packaged securely.

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
That is a SCREAM deal for someone! You can't buy an old original right out of the truck, dirt and all for that kind of change. And this man's work is museum quality, believe me! Good luck Bro! Think about this, some clusters you would buy here you will have to clean, replace a light or two, maybe paint some. It is all done here, plug it in and Drive! What a deal!

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
Doug, this is a smokin' deal!!! Fully functional, remove your old dash and install this one, and you're ready to roll in style.
IF this was in a tach tin dash... wouldn't be available. Beautiful resto! Perfect for Christmas morning...

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
Yes that was very nice work. Maybe it will shed some light for some on the board who still ask the question, what is a speed warning.

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
I would normally be very jealous but I have one almost exactly like that with 59,000 original miles. I just hope I hook it all back up correctly when I re-install. I'll try to get you guys a pick tonight. I'm curious to see if ours are the exact same!

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
I have a tach dash that I'd like to install the speed warning into. Would it be somewhat easy?
Do you take paypal? If so, I will take it.

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
Richard,
Installing a speedwarning package into an existing tach tin would be easy. you would need to drill 1 holes in the tin for the speedwarning control cable and one in the bezel for the control cable knob assembly. Yes, I have paypal. I'll pm you in a minute with it. any other questions I can answer for ya?

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
Would it be easier to cut the tach hole in the speadwarning tin? The post where the speedo wire grounds to the harness is pressed in on the back tin and is almost impossible to remove and replace on the other tin.

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
John,
kind of depends on which tin you want to modify. since the original speedwarning tin is rare in itself, I would adapt the s.w. to the tach tin. HOWEVER, cutting the s.w. tin to accept a tach would be easier!

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
Yes, I'm excited to get this. I got the wife a new computer for Christmas, so this will be my gift from Santa. Even though it's not original to my 70--neither is my AM/FM radio from what I'm told--it will still add to it and make it that much nicer. Now if I can only find some nice original black shoulder belts.

Re: Rare and Complete Speedwarning Cluster - Perfect
Thanks, Doug! I got the unit on Christmas Eve, opened it on Christmas, and added the speedminder to my NOS cluster the day after Christmas. I'll post some pics soon. Thanks again!
