Bench Seat Bracket Gurus,... I Need Help
I thought I had a set of 67-72 bench seat brackets.
Now after looking at them I think they are 73-8? seat brackets. Does anyone know if there is a difference in seat brackets? 67-68? 69-70? 71-72? I need a set for my '69 bench seat. Here's what I have and I'm pretty sure they are 73-up. |

Re: Bench Seat Bracket Gurus,... I Need Help
Hi lolife99,
I'm not a seat bracket guru by any means but that looks more like a 67-72 bracket than a 73-87 bracket to me. The 73-87 regular cab floors are humped up under the seat area for gas tank clearance so the seat brackets don't bolt down on a flat surface like the earlier years. And the 73-87 brackets only have 2 bolts each holding them to the floor. |

Re: Bench Seat Bracket Gurus,... I Need Help
Keith.... after talking with you last night, I'm not sure on the seat brackets. Here's a few shots of the ones I pulled, painted, reinstalled on the seat in my old '72. A couple of the pictures make the bracket look like the one pictured above, but on the installed pic it looks different (possible illusion).
For larger pics, click here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/838063/3 Again, this seat came from teeitup and was removed from a '72:

Re: Bench Seat Bracket Gurus,... I Need Help
To me the mount sticking up on the left appears to be longer than the one on the bracket I posted.

Kind of on the same note... Anyone know where you can buy the replacement linkage for the slider mechanism? Looks like it takes some specific parts. Thanks...
