1989 jimmy

What is the widest size tires and rims that you can put on a stock suspension 1989 jimmy? I thinking about staying with the 31 inch tires but just wider for the traction, mainly mud and sand.

Re: 1989 jimmy

I ran 11.50/32 on Rallyes.I went to 12.50/33s on 10" wheels.I had a spring shop arch and add a leaf and that worked well.I had them level it up,+1-2".It handled better and it barely stiffened the ride.Like if the factory offered a sport suspension.

Re: 1989 jimmy

thanks for the help. I drove the truck the other day and was suprised at how well it drove. I had always wanted one of these blazer/jimmy's but always intended to lift it above stock. The only thing i didn't like was the small tires and peeling paint. I think I will fix the tires first and if I decide to put a lift on it I will have a good size rim.
