18.23 MPG avg. / year
So the 4.3 is not the most sought after Chevy engine. But it gets decent gas mileage. I added up all the gas slips from the last year.(I drive stop and go rush hour traffic)
Power is o.k., drives real nice, love the way it looks. Glad I bought it. Yet to get 20 MPG but been close, real close! Next oil change I'll go synthetic and I still want to drop it someday. (that may get me 20?) Sure the metal is so thin so you have to be careful to turn your head when you sneeze ![]() This spring will be 2 years, I can see keeping this one around for awhile. (at least till I pay it off)

That's nice. My average is probably only 14, but I almost never get to hit the highway.
